The 2020 Ram 1500 makes the top 10 best trucks — and best vehicles — on numerous car review sites, and with good reason. This heavy-duty truck is stylish enough to catch all eyes on the road while being rugged enough to get down and dirty on and off the road. With more power than before and an improved suspension, you're sure to experience a smooth ride in this capable truck. Here's what you can expect from the 2020 Ram 1500. more Stylish Build and Design The Ram 1500 has a well-designed exterior for this model-year. Choose from seven trims —  the Tradesman, HFE, Big Horn, the Rebel for off-roading, the Laramie, Long Horn, and Limited. There's one for every style, adventure, and budget. Start out with standard 18-inch steel wheels on the Tradesman. Style it up with chrome highlights, courtesy of the available Chrome Appearance Package. For 20-inch standard wheels, the Laramie is the right choice. Choose from available variants such as painted, polished, chrome, or chrome-clad aluminum up till the Longhorn. 22-inch wheels are available from the Laramie For a completely black exterior, add the Black Appearance Package, which is available on the Rebel and Limited. For any one of the other exterior colors — such as Ivory White, Delmonico Red, or Patriot Blue — plus SPORT decal and a performance hood, choose the Sports Appearance Package — available on the Big Horn and Laramie. Black exterior detailing is also available with the Night Edition Package plus a choice of any exterior color. Powerful Performance The 2020 Ram 1500 packs the power with three available engines. Standard on all trims is the 3.6-liter V-6 Pentastar engine which makes an impressive 305 horsepower. This powertrain is an eTorque machine and produces 269 pound-feet of torque. It can tow a maximum of 7,730 pounds. Next up is the available 5.7 HEMI V-8, which comes with and without eTorque. This engine is more powerful at 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet, with a maximum towing capacity of 11,610 pounds (12,750 for the eTorque variant) when properly equipped. An all-new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine is now more efficient, rating 260 horsepower and coming in at 480 pound-feet of torque for a maximum towing capacity of 12,560 pounds. All engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Entertainment Technology The 2020 Ram 1500 is equally well-fitted on the inside. Active noise cancellation shields you from the bustle of the town while you enjoy a comfortable ride. Stay connected to your mobile device with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability. Also available are up to four USB charging ports, a 7-inch digital display and from the Laramie trim, a 19-speaker Harman-Kardon audio system. Advanced Safety Features The Ram 1500 ranks highly in safety. All 2020 Ram 1500s now come standard with Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection, so ensure safer maneuvering. Whether you're more of the adventurous type or someone who enjoys taking time out to soak up some air conditioning, we have just the things to keep you entertained. Before the season is over, you have to check out these five La Crosse spots this summer. more 1. Riverside International Friendship Gardens Riverside International Friendship Gardens is a beautiful outdoor garden that's open daily during the summer months. Volunteers take time out of their days to make sure everything here, flowers and all, are properly taken care of. Find themed gardens from areas such as France, China, Ireland, Russia, Norway, and Germany, along with several water features. The gardens are free to visit — but donations are encouraged — and are located at 345-405 E. Veterans Memorial Drive. 2. Pearl Ice Cream Parlor To cool off and enjoy a sweet treat, head over to Pearl Ice Cream Parlor. This 1930's-style soda fountain has some of the best ice creams in town. One of their most popular flavors is the Blue Moon, which is a tasty blue Fruit Loop cereal flavor. Try the Snappin' Turtle, which is a vanilla base with fudge, caramel, and salted pecan. And the Cherry Chip, which is a cherry flavor with chocolate flakes and cherry halves, is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. They offer sprinkle waffle cones, chocolate waffle cones, or sugar cones with toppings such as gummy bears, crushed Oreo, and sprinkles. Copeland Park If you have young children, you might be looking for something you can do to let them play outside without getting too hot. Copeland Park features a wading area with several spraying water features. Your kids can run around and enjoy the water while you sit back and watch or even join in on the fun. You can play some baseball, softball, or tennis at the park and then hop in the wading pool to cool off. No matter what you choose to do, don't forget the sunscreen! Copeland Park is located at 1130 Copeland Park Drive. 4. Black River Beach For a day of swimming and enjoying the outdoors, head over to Black River Beach. The river has areas for swimming as well as ramps to take a boat out and enjoy cruising the open water. You can even bring your fishing pole, bait, and outdoor chair to set up along the bank and fish. They offer bathhouses to change into and out of swimsuits, convenient restrooms, and a space to play volleyball. Bring lunch and drinks to make a day of it. Here are the four coffee shops you should visit in La Crosse: more 1. Grounded Patio Cafe The Grounded Patio Cafe is right in downtown La Crosse. The cafe produces high-quality coffee, along with a selection of teas, craft beers, wine, and an assortment of other refreshments. You can order breakfast sandwiches, paninis, salads, and more to get your fill while you're on the go. Grounded Patio also offers delivery if you can't make it to their physical location. The shop is open from 6 a.m to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. 2. Jules Coffee House Jules Coffee House proudly serves all organic coffee and dairy products. They also make their teas, sweet treats, and soups in-house. You can enjoy your drink in their hip and inviting store, or with outside seating on the corner of 4th and Pearl Street. The shop's hours are 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Sunday to Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. 3. Cabin Coffee Company Cabin Coffee Company opened its doors in 2011 and serves freshly roasted coffee to guests and local businesses. You can purchase one-quarter, one-half or one-pound bag of single-origin blends ranging from destinations worldwide (South America, Central America, Indonesia, and Africa). If you wanted to try an alternative drink, try the tumbleweed or the Mississippi mud frappe. The tumbleweed features white caffeinated coffee, caramel sauce, steamed milk, whipped cream, and sea salt. The Mississippi mud frappe consists of chilled espresso, Ghirardelli dark chocolate, caramel sauce, hazelnut, milk and frappe mix, and whipped cream on top. If you're hungry, try one of their signature sandwiches like the chipotle chicken wrap or the veggie sandwich. The veggie sandwich includes lettuce, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, and red onion on a wheat bagel with cream cheese. You can visit the shop from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 4. The Root Note The Root Note is another coffee shop located in downtown La Crosse. They serve sustainably-sourced food and drinks to their guests. Try some of their daily brew coffee or order from their espresso menu if you need additional caffeine to start your day. Order some of their famous savory or sweet crepes with your coffee to satisfy your appetite. The baby blue is made with red pepper, spinach, green onion, and garlic sauteed with Wisconsin white wine, bleu cheese, and a fried egg. You can order a classic banana and chocolate chip or a honey and lemon crepe if you want a sweeter option. The Barrel Inn Bar & Grill For an old-school sports bar experience, head to the Barrel Inn Bar & Grill.
