1. Grounded

Grounded is located in the heart of Downtown La Crosse at 308 Main Street. Grounded is passionate about serving great coffee and providing a welcoming space for the community to gather. There’s plenty of room inside the brick-walled café, and the spacious patio is a great place to sip a coffee and watch the bustle of Downtown. A variety of drinks can be whipped up from the full espresso bar. Red Eyes, Cappuccinos, Americanos, and flavored lattes are all on the menu.

There are also iced coffees, drip coffees, frappes, hot chocolates, teas, smoothies, and soft drinks. If you’re feeling hungry, there’s a full food menu that includes breakfast sandwiches, bagels, oatmeal, wraps, paninis, and salads. Grounded is open seven days per week. Monday to Friday 6.30 am till 6 pm, Saturdays 7 am till 6 pm, and Sundays 7 am until 4 pm.

2. Cool Beans

Cool Beans is a locally owned coffee house who are committed to supporting local businesses. They source the finest products and ingredients from local suppliers. Even their coffee comes directly from local roasters. They craft all your favorite espresso-based coffees, including lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, and americanos. Plus, hot chocolates, teas, cold brews, iced coffees, smoothies, and sodas. They stock a range of dairy-free milks and flavored syrups.

Pair your coffee order with something to eat. Choose from a range of baked goods like cookies, scones, banana bread, muffins, and bagels. Or, choose from a selection of sandwiches, quiches, oatmeal, and crisps. Cool Beans is located at 1221 La Crosse Street. They are open seven days per week from 6.30 am until 6 pm.

3. JavaVino

JavaVino is a coffeehouse and full restaurant. They serve a full brunch menu during the morning and afternoon and dinner in the evenings. The brunch menu includes loaded toasts, benedict waffles, breakfast plates, omelets, burgers, salads, tacos, and soups. The coffee menu features cold press coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, dirty chai, americanos, and brewed coffee. There are also hot teas, blended drinks, fountain drinks, and Italian Sodas.  

The dinner menu features dishes such as Thai noodles, mac and cheese, gnocchi, spicy garlic linguini, and shrimp Po Boy sandwiches. They serve a selection of wines by the glass or bottle, cocktails, and bottled beer. JavaVino is located at 2311 State Road. They are open from 6.30 am until 9 pm Tuesday through to Friday, and 6.30 am until 3 pm Saturday to Monday. Always drink responsibly and do not drink and drive.

4. Bean Juice Coffee Roasters

Bean Juice is a locally owned business that has been pouring coffee for the people of La Crosse for over 17 years. They roast their own coffee in-store, so the coffee is always fresh and the café always smalls divine. They stock a range of coffee beans and serve lattes, cappuccinos, breve’s, iced coffees, chai’s, and smoothies. They also offer baked goods from Meringue Bakery and house-made sandwiches, soups, and salads.
