What is Transmission Service?
Your vehicle’s transmission fluid gets contaminated overtime, which can prevent the lubrication of important parts and cause serious damage down the road. Transmission Service typically consists of a fluid flush and exchange to get rid of those contaminants. Most technicians recommend getting your transmission serviced once every 40,000 miles, but we recommend consulting your owner’s manual or one of our technicians for maintenance schedules for your vehicle.
Warning Signs
Some issues your vehicle is facing may indicate you require immediate transmission service. If your vehicle is having trouble switching gears or your “Check Engine” light is on, you should schedule service as soon as possible. Other serious signs can include a burning smell coming form the engine, or red fluid leaking underneath your vehicle, or the engine overheating.
