If you wanted to try an alternative drink, try the tumbleweed or the Mississippi mud frappe. The tumbleweed features white caffeinated coffee, caramel sauce, steamed milk, whipped cream, and sea salt. The Mississippi mud frappe consists of chilled espresso, Ghirardelli dark chocolate, caramel sauce, hazelnut, milk and frappe mix, and whipped cream on top.

If you’re hungry, try one of their signature sandwiches like the chipotle chicken wrap or the veggie sandwich. The veggie sandwich includes lettuce, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, and red onion on a wheat bagel with cream cheese.

You can visit the shop from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4. The Root Note

The Root Note is another coffee shop located in downtown La Crosse. They serve sustainably-sourced food and drinks to their guests. Try some of their daily brew coffee or order from their espresso menu if you need additional caffeine to start your day.

Order some of their famous savory or sweet crepes with your coffee to satisfy your appetite. The baby blue is made with red pepper, spinach, green onion, and garlic sauteed with Wisconsin white wine, bleu cheese, and a fried egg. You can order a classic banana and chocolate chip or a honey and lemon crepe if you want a sweeter option.
