This model is prepared for water fording, thanks to special water sealing, high air intakes, and rock crawling with higher clearance and traction control. There are three 4x4 systems available for your Cherokee. The Jeep Active Drive 4x4 option automatically switches between two-wheel and four-wheel drive modes when necessary to provide extra grip when you need it and preserve fuel when you don't. An available Active Drive II system offers a 4-Low driving mode and locking front and rear driveshafts for better towing. Available on the Trailhawk trim, an Active Drive Lock system provides different driving modes to fit your terrain, like rock mode or low range modes for towing.
